Kudos to CBS. They're really embracing the digital world. In September, you'll be able to watch Katie Couric's newscasts live online, and coming soon, New Yorkers will be able to download video clips and teasers on your mobile phone, PDA, or computer from CBS billboards equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology.
Beginning next month, CBS will install the technology enhanced billboards in NYC's Grand Central Station. People within close range will then be able to download various promotional material for free.
The pilot shows that will kick off the new advertising promotion will be "Shark," "Smith," "Jericho," "The Class" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." And those shows need to get all the publicity they can get, because with the exception of CSI, I haven't heard of any of them yet.
