There may be some people out there who are a bit worried about their Web search histories getting leaked to everyone. I don't know why. It's not like AOL released search logs of almost one million subscribers. Wait. Yes, they did. So if you're afraid that might happen to you in the future, there's a new tool that will help you by generating a ton of bogus search queries, helping you to mask your real searches.

It is actually only for Firefox users, however. From the official site: "TrackMeNot runs in Firefox as a low-priority background process that periodically issues randomized search-queries to popular search engines, e.g., AOL, Yahoo!, Google, and MSN. It hides users' actual search trails in a cloud of 'ghost' queries, significantly increasing the difficulty of aggregating such data into accurate or identifying user profiles. TrackMeNot integrates into the Firefox 'Tools' menu and includes a variety of user-configurable options."
