A couple days ago the specification page on the Sony PS3 site (via PS3Land) revealed that the HDMI enabled 60GB Sony PS3 will not come with an HDMI cable. There is lots of criticsm about this circulating in the community.
In my case I already have an HDMI cable installed. It is 15m long. For anybody who has a HD ready projector the HDMI cable that Sony would have bundled would be anyway to short and useless.
Sure you could say you anyway pay a premium price for the new Playstation, why is Sony not throwing in a HDMI cable?
It would make though a big difference on the BOM (Bill of Material) for Sony. There is a big risk that many like me just would not be able to use the bundled HDMI cable, so I understand Sony not to bundle a HDMI cable.
