When the first rumors in June about a new portable music player by satellite radio company Sirius appeared, the word was that this player would only use Wi-fi to load music. Now the Sirius Stiletto 100 emerges, which does Wi-fi and live satellite streaming.
The latest news is that the very slick Stiletto would also provide a Bluetooth interface. The Bluetooth info comes from an informative article on Wired. Update: The article got corrected and there will be no Bluetooth in the Stiletto 100. The article also takes an interesting perspective on satellite based radio compared to internet delivery.
Back to the Sirius Stiletto 100, which is still not officially announced, but is available for pre-order on Crutchfield for instance at $349.99. There is no shipping date yet.
Other features of the Stiletto 100 include 2GB storage, FM transmitter, MP3 and WMA music playback and color screen.
The Wi-Fi solution is provided by Zing. Combining live satellite and Wi-Fi delivery sounds like a perfect solution for poeple who want fresh beats anywhere and anytime.
The Sirius Stiletto 100 measures 2"x4-1/2"x11/16" (with slim battery) or 2"x4-1/2"x1" (with standard battery).
More details on the Crutchfield product page. Hope Sirius will soon officially announce the Stiletto so we get all the details about this promissing portable music player.
