Gamespot quotes an analyst from Lazard Capital Markets who just sat down with Sony, saying that 80% of the Sony PS3 consoles, which will be available at launch will be the premium model with 60GB and HDMI interface ($599).
I am glad Sony thinks that way. The 'low-end' version is just not that attractive. It is not the HDD size; it is the missing HDMI port.
I already wrote back in May when Sony announced the two versions of the PS3 that the 20GB model is just not cutting it.
So if we look at 500,000 (lowered from the initial promised 2Mio.) PS3 consoles that are supposed to be available, 400,000 will be 60GB PS3 models. More Sony PS3 News.
