Microsoft is knitting their own video sharing service dubbed soapbox. It will go into limited user testing next Tuesday.
Back in the good old dot.com days, Microsoft would just have bought hyper-successful (in terms of visits) YouTube.
It will be interesting to see how Microsoft will be handling copyright violations. YouTube got creative and shares advertisement revenue with copyright holders.
The official release of the MSN Soapbox video sharing service could actually still be 6 month away. Enough time for YouTube to double their 32 million monthly visits the have currently.
