Panasonic announces the TH-AE1000 home cinema LCD projector with ultra-high contrast ratio of 11,000:1.

The Panasonic TH-AE1000 is featuring full HD resolution topping the just recently announced Panasonic TH-AX100.

Other features of the TH-AE1000 include 1,100 lumen brightness, 14 bit digital processing, 40% horizontal lens shift, 100% vertical lens shift and 2 HDMI ports.
The Panasonic TH-AE1000 goes on sale on November 20th in Japan. Price is not set yet. The price on this promising full HD projector will be interesting. Full HD on projectors is fast becoming affordable. See also the Mitsubishi HC5000, which will sell for around $5,000.
