OmniVision is introducing its newest CMOS chip destined to be used inside mobile phones to improve the image quality of built in cameras. The new OV9660 CMOS SXGA 1.3 Megapixel CAMERACHIP is a low voltage device designed to be used in a small footprint package.
The new chip is capable of operating at up to 15 frames per second in SXGA resolution and gives the user complete control over image quality, formatting and data output transfer. All the required image processing functions such as exposure control, gamma, white balance, color saturation, hue control, white pixel cancelling, noise cancelling and more are programmable via the SCCB (serial camera control bus) interface.
