If we think of the world of HDTV as a prison (what gadget loving geek isn’t prisoner to a sweet HDTV) Sharp just took the previous king of HDTV land and slapped it around, dressed it up in a pink tutu and made it say "please sir may I have some more".

In other words Sharp just owned the HDTV scene with their new beast, a 64" LCD monitor with a whopping 4096 x 2160 resolution. Sure this thing is experimental, but I am having some serious HDTV envy here.
I would imagine it to be a while before this sort of resolution trickles down to the consumer front, but the day is neigh when I can connect my Quad SLI rig to a TV worthy of a serious gaming PC. I don't know about you, but I'm stuffing my piggy bank as we speak.
