DailyTech has their hands on an early version of the upcoming ATI Radeon X1950 Pro graphics card. The X1950 Pro was supposedly slated for release next week, but DailyTech claims the launch date was pushed back to the last week in October.
The X1950 Pro is said to have 36 pixel shaders and 12 pipelines on a core that is a stripped down R580. The card DailyTech has is clocked at 575 MHz on the core and 686 MHz on the GDDR3 memory. The clock speeds may vary as the vendors of the cards can specify their own clock speeds.
DT’s X1950 Pro is a 256MB version lacking HDPC support. Dual DVI outputs are available, but neither of them is DVI-D meaning no super high resolutions with this card.
