Samsung is introducing today a new display called the SyncMaster 305T. The 305T is a 30" TFT-LCD boasting a 2560x1600 resolution on par with the 30" LCDs from Dell and Apple.

The aspect ratio for the new display is 16:10 and Samsung is aiming the display at professional markets such as CAD and medical imaging. I say the display will likely be of interest to gamers as well. The brightness is 400 cd/m2 and the contrast ratio is a good 1000:1. Viewing angles are good as well at 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically and the response time of 6ms gray-to-gray should ensure no ghosting.
