GameStop and EB Games stores already sold out their first batch of Sony PS3 consoles they had available for pre-order mid-day yesterday.
Apparently GameStop still plans an online PS3 pre-order soon. This will be you next chance to secure a Sony PS3.
CNET has published a story where GameStop says that most stores only had 8 Sony PS3 consoles available. Some selected stores got a whopping 16 consoles. It is really no surprise that they pre-order is already closed again. And get this employees could buy a total of 2 consoles per store, leaving 6 or 14 to customers.
Let's do a quick calculation: There are 3,600 Gamestop and EB Games stores nation-wide. Let's say 3,000 stores got 8 Playstation 3 consoles and 600 got 16. This would result in 33,600 PS3 systems are already gone from the promised 400,000 consoles Sony is supposed to ship in the U.S.
GameStop and EB Games stores took PS3 pre-orders yesterday only across the United States. More Sony PS3 News.
