I actually thought the blank keyboard was a fad and is over now, but Fujitsu just released two new very expensive hand-made Happy Hacking Keyboards in Japan.
We reported about the Happy Hacking Keyboards with blank keys the first time in May 2005. The PFU company is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a keyboard priced at 525,000 Yen (~$4,394) and a 'cheaper' model priced at 262,500 Yen (~$2,197).
I feel such a looser now, typing away on my $20 UltraX media keyboard from Logitech.
The expensive special edition HHK features keys with a special lacquer coating dubbed Wajima coating. The keyboard is a fusion of high tech and traditional Japanese art. The body of the keyboard is made from aluminum. There will be only 100 pieces of this anniversary keyboard.
