Sony updates its nav-u GPS devices with the introduction of the NV-U51 and NV-U71T.

The new GPS units feature simple gesture based navigation and a slimmer design. The NV-U71T packs a pan-European map into its 2GB memory and real-time traffic updates.

Both Sony new nav-u units feature a 3.5 inch touch screen and run the new SiRFstarIII GPS chipset. The Sony NV-U51 and NV-U71T will be available throughout Europe from December 2006.
