Sony issued a press-release with some details on the Sony Playstation network launch on November 11th in Japan.

The icon for Playstation Network on the PS3 will look like the image above. It features the four iconic Playstation action button symbols.

The first Sony PS3 multi-player games are Ridge Racer 7 and Resistance: Fall of Man.
There will be several games as trail version available for the Sony PS3 and also the for the Sony PSP. There are supposed to come 7 titles for the PS3 to be downloaded from the Playstation network until the end of the year. For the PSP several dozen games are supposed to be available for download.
The Playstation store works with credit cards, locking out the gamers with no cards.
A week ago the first details about the Playstation network were revealed by Sony at a press event.
