There is light at the end of the tunnel for all the unemployed booth babes in LA. IDG announces plans to organize a big Video Game Expo in October 2007 that will replace the E3.

The GamePro Expo 2007 is blessed by ESA and also former E3 organizers joined the venture to bring back a large U.S. based video game show.

The E3 2007 got canceled in August. There is a small industry gathering instead dubbed Media and Business Summit. It will take place on July 11-13, 2007, in Santa Monica, California.
It is still a year to go, but we are excited about a new large video game event in the United States. We sure will be there to cover the highlights.
