Vodafone Japan announces TV Mobile Phone

Vodafone KK, formerly J-Phone Co., announces that in early December it will release the first mobile phone in Japan capable of receiving terrestrial analog television broadcasts.
Vodafone uses the NEC V601N which will have an earpiece with a built-in TV antenna, and its battery will permit about an hour of watching TV.
The phone measures approximately 48 (width) the ×95 (height) the ×24 (thickness) mm and weighs 119g.
The Phone features 2 screens one 2.2 inches TFT (216×160 pixel, 26 ten thousand colors) and a 1.2 inch small screen.

NEC announced a TV Phone back in July. Back then they said a roll-out would be possible in 2005. In this case a new gadget is actually coming out early, 1 year early!
