Asus Launches the G1 & G2 Gaming Notebooks

Asus is probably best know in the enthusiast community as the manufacturer of some of the highest performance Mainboards for PCs on the planet. While we do not see them too much in these parts, Asus also makes a line of notebook PCs as well.
If you are a gamer looking for a notebook up to the rigors of gaming, Asus has recently introduced two new models that might be just what you are looking for. The new notebooks called the G1 and the G2. The G1 is a 15.4” design and the G2 is a 17” screen. The two systems are available with several Intel CPU’s including T7600, T7400, T7200, T5600 and T5500. They machines also sport up to 160GB SATA HDD, 1.3MP webcams, Bluetooth and Lightscribe DVD burners. The G1’s graphics are courtesy of NVIDIA Go7700 with the G2 getting a Mobility Radeon X1700 with both graphics options using 512MB of RAM. Story and Image via Engadget.
