Half Tank, Half Mig and it Puts Out Fires...Seriously

A group of Hungarian engineers with some time on their hands, an old Russian tank and a Mig-21 decided to come up with the world’s most powerful fire extinguisher. They removed the gun turret from the tank and replaced it with the twin jet turbines form the Mig.
The also grafted on what appears to be parts from a pipe organ to deliver water into the massive air stream created by the jet engines. The idea is to use the high velocity air and water to put out hard to fight fires. This could be something of use in California with all the wild fires raging recently. The only issue I see is how to transport the behemoth of a fire extinguisher and how to get the thing close to the fire. Then with a pair of Mig 21 engines producing somewhere in the range of 13,000 to 16,000 pounds of thrust each maybe you don’t need to be that close. Hope over to Gizmodo to check out a video of the thing in use. Story via Gizmodo.
