OCZ is launching what is for now the world’s fastest DDR2 RAM. Their new FLEX XLC RAM is PC2-9200 and can be either passive air-cooled or liquid cooled with attached hose barbs.
The new RAM is available in unbuffered 2GB kits of 2x 1GB sticks and is backed by OCZ’s lifetime warranty. The RAM has latencies of CL 5-5-5-18 and requires 2.35V to operate. OCZ used an 8-layer PCB that integrates thermally conductive power and ground planes to guide heat away from the ICs and maintain signal integrity. Throw liquid cooling on this RAM and you can be sure it will overclock like crazy. You can even increase the VDIMM to + or – 5% of 2.4V without voiding the OCZ warranty.
