Hong Kong's FancyLogic offers now a very "tricked-out" small MP3 Player.

The FancyLogic Compact 280 and the Compact 290 features include: MP3 Player, LCD Display, Folder Based Menue, Equalizer, Digital FM Tuner, Voice Recorder, Line In Direct Recording, Telephone Recording, Built-in Speaker, 2 sets of headsets (standard and sports strap) and more. The MP3 Player comes in 128MB and 256MB.

Fancylogic sent us a Compact 280 and it looks great. Very nice quality and nice design. It is amazingly small considering all the features packed into it. We will post a review in the next 10 days. There is so much to try it will take us a while.

Interesting accessory is the phone plug. It lets you connect directly between the phone headset and connect it to the line-in of the MP3 Player for direct recording of a phone conversation.

I think the biggest difference compared to other MP3 players is the Line-In direct recording combined with the small size. There are now several MP3 Players out there that feature FM and Voice Recording.

This no-name low-cost asian electronics manufactures are really putting out competitive products now, forcing the big guys like Sony and Samsung to hopefully invent faster and drop prices. The only thing those new manfactures do not have is marketing and brand awareness.
