Yesterday Corsair announced that their 16GB USB flash drive called the Flash Voyager (PDF link) was immediately available. Not only does the drive have a huge storage capacity, but it is also very rugged making it a great option for the storage and transport of important files and documents.
The Flash Voyager is encased in an all rubber housing that is water-resistant. With a 16 GB storage capacity video fans will be glad to hear that you can get up to four full DVD movies or over 20 CDs of music on the drive. Corsair made the drive bootable as well so you can install Windows on it and boot directly from the flash drive and still have space to store applications and files. Corsair claims sustained read speeds of 22 MB/sec and sustained write speeds of 7 MB/sec. TO secure your data a secure partition is installed accessible with a password protected by 256-bit AES encryption. MSRP for the 16 GB flash drive is set at $299. Buy your own Flash Voyager here.
