KDDI introduces 2.4Mbps Speeds on Mobile Phones

KDDI announces in Japan new 3G service CDMA 1X WIN (CDMA 1x EV-DO Service), which enables transfer of data at a maximum of 2.4Mbps, from November 28.
NE Asia Online reports that KDDI is the sixth mobile phone operator in the world to start such service after the United States, Korea and Brazil.
Anybody know which carrier in the US offers 2.4Mbps on your mobile phone yet? Please post a comment if you know.
KDDI will introduce two new handsets W11H (produced by Hitachi Ltd) and W11K (produced by Kyocera Corp) and one PC-card type data terminal W01K (produced by Kyocera).
