I hardly ever go out, mostly because I don’t have to. I work from home, they will bring pizza and Coke to my door and any geek toys I need to buy come right to the house as well. About my sole need to leave the house is to get on occasional DVD.
It seems that Comcast has finally provided the most compelling reason to change from my beloved satellite to cable, on-demand PPV movies that are available the same day as they hit the video store! Take that you late fee charging wankers at Blockbuster! Comcast is even charging about the same price my video store charges, $4 for the new releases plus you know it will be there and I don’t have to endure some 16 year old moron trying to up sell me to the $.25 protection plan for the movie. Currently the service is only available in Denver and Pittsburgh where presumably it’s too darn cold to go to the movie store. Story and image via Gizmodo.
