If you already have a smart phone that has a vacant SD slot just sitting there not being used there is finally a cool accessory to fill it with. Spectec is launching a svelte SDIO GPS receiver that also has a microSD slot.
The microSD slot is a big deal since you are obviously giving up your SD expansion option by using the GPS receiver. The model number is SDG-810 and has SiRF Star III 20-channel tracking and is WAAS-enabled.
Up to 2GB microSD cards are supported via the slot in the GPS receiver. No pricing or availability is given at this time, but the device is expected soon. The receiver will work with Pocket PC 2002/2003, Win CE 5.0 and Palm OS 4.X, 5.X.
