Pharos, the gang famous for their GPS gear is getting ready to launch a phone with the super creative name “GPS Phone” which is actually a rebadged ETEN OX500 device. The phone is feature packed and boasts SiRFStarIII GPS receiver with Pharos Ostia navigation software.
The phone also packs quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Wifi, Bluetooth, and a 2MP camera. There is even a FM radio bundled into the phone as well. The phone looks cool to me even if it is expensive. Pricing is set at $699 and it should be available in February. The phone is also supposed to ship SIM unlocked so it should work with most any US carrier. Lots of coin for a Pocket PC based phone for sure. Story and image via Engadget.
