One of the most impressive items that I saw today was a technology demo from Olevia TV that showed a side by side comparison of a standard Olevia 542i TV at 60Hz and 8ms response time for the LCD panel and another 542i with some interesting differences.
PC gamers know the value of a fast gray-to-gray response time and a higher refresh rate on picture quality. On CRT displays you can choose different refresh rates for your display but on LCD panels you are locked to 60Hz. This demo showed another Olevia 542i TV side by side to the standard model that had a 120Hz refresh rate and a 4ms gray-to-gray response time. The difference in the visual quality of the TV was very impressive when running at 4ms response time and 120Hz. The impact on picture quality was impressive. There is specific time frame on when TVs with the 120Hz refresh will be available, but they are expected this year. Trust me when I say that the image here doesn't do the picture quality justice.
