If you have always secretly envied John Madden’s pen that let shim draw on the screen during football games Viewsonic is here to hook you up. The new ViewPen works with any projector and connects to your PC via USB.
The ViewPen allows you to stand up to 30 feet away from your presentation and control mouse movements by placing the laser pointer inside the pen wherever you want the mouse cursor to go. You can draw on your slides and save the drawings to your presentation as well as use the ViewPen like a remote to move back and forth between slides. The pen measures in at 6.5” x 1.1” x 1.4” and the pen itself weighs less than half a pound. You can also use the pen as a digital whiteboard against any while low reflection surface. Programmable short-cut buttons allow you to build more functionality into the pen as well. The pen is available now and you can buy one here.
