Telecom Italia partnered with Polymer Vision to develop a rollable display mobile device currently dubbed Cellular-book.

We just reported early January about Polymer Vision commerializing their rollable display Readius.

Telekom Italia says to release a mobile terminal based on the Polymer Vision technology in 2007.

The mobile device will feature a 5 inch rollable screen with 16 grey levels. The device features (EDGE/UMTS) and broadcast (DVB-H IP data-casting) mobile functionalities as well as a mini-USB slot for PC and wired/wireless broadband data connection.

This is pretty exciting. This could be the first commercial rollable epaper device.
Telekom Italia will show the rollable display mobile phone at the 3GSM 2007 in Barcelona next week.
