Tomorrow is President's Day in the United States. Wouldn't it be nice to stay home and play the Wii all day long? If you already own one you are all set. Lots of people still did not get their hands on a Wii yet.
Nintendo's President of America Reggie Fils-Aime said this week "We apologize that it continues to be a difficult problem to get your hands on a Wii, production is being ramped to 1 million systems a month, with a further ramp-up in the future" (Via MTV).
There are actually some Wii consoles in stock at the retail stores. At least that is what my tests on the Yahoo! Wii finder showed me. Local Target, Gamestop or Wal-mart stores have small numbers of Wii consoles in stock.
I could not find a single Wii in stock on online stores though.
So you have to go out into the cold and visit your local mall. Of course first check online if there is stock available or call the stores directly. You can use the neat Yahoo! Wii Finder or the iTrackr.
