Sharp Japan is announcing a sweet and hella expensive home theater that sports 7.1 surround sound and has a Blu-Ray DVD player. Naturally the system supports HDMI at 1080p screen resolution.
The DVD player will play BD-R/RE, DVD+- R/RW, DVD-RAM and music CDs. The amplifier is a 1bit digital design that puts out 25W over 7 channels and uses Multi EQ XT technology. Multi EQ XT uses microphones on the system to make adjustments to sound output for improved quality which is really cool. Sharp is adding this sweet home theater as the top of the line in their Aquos line and as such if you already have an Aquos TV the TV remote operates most of the amp functions. All this coolness doesn’t come cheap, Japanese pricing is set at about $8750 and it is slated for availability in Japan on June 25th. No word on when or if it will make it to the US.
