Japanese Fujitsu Labs announces (raw translation) prototype of a pocket size information terminal.
The pocket sized PDA features 800x600pixel resolution color screen, bluetooth, 802.11b and IrDA. Mobile Network access can be accomblished via SD-Card PHS terminal. The device has a builtin digital camera. Not really clear but I think it runs Windows XP.
I am still waiting for a pocket-sized device that lets me access the web via an IE 6.0 compliant web browser from anywhere via high-speed mobile network. Having internet on the my Sprint Vision Sanyo 8100 is good, but a far cry from being able to post a story on I4U from the road.
We reported about other palm-sized PC based PDAs before. The OQO and the TIQIT for instance. The fujitsu one has i think the most connectivity compared to OQO and TIQIT models. What all of those palm-sized PCs have in common is that they are not on the market yet.
