A researcher at UBS Investment Research is calling Apple's Multi-touch interface a mega-platform.
Apple introduced the Multi-touch interface when the company unleashed the iPhone on us. UBS believes Apple has with this technology the basis to introduce new products across most of their offerings and multi-touch is as big as the iPod introduction in 2001-2003.
I am not sure if I would call multi-touch a mega-platform. It looks great, but it has to still proof that the masses can handle it. Apple will of course if it works adopt it for iPods and other devices to come.
UBS still has a price target for the Apple Stock of $124. It is at $89 right now.
More details on the potential of multi-touch can be found on Apple Insider.
