The 1 year head-start of the Microsoft Xbox 360 is still holding strong.
The latest estimated U.S. retail sales numbers of market research company NPD Group Inc. show 5.1 million Xbox 360, followed by Nintendo Wii with 1.9 million and 1.1 million Sony PS3.
The February sales numbers show that the Xbox 360 is still selling strong (228,000) and holding the number 2 spot behind the Wii (335,000). The Sony PS3 is 3rd with only 127,000.
With numbers like that Sony is not making any gains on Microsoft anytime soon. A Deutsche Bank analyst calls a price-cut for the PS3 critical for success, albeit knowing it won't happen any time soon. More details on GameDaily.
