Famous Swiss pocket knife maker cleaned out several booths of Asian exhibitors who pirated the already classic swissbit USB Swiss Army knife.
Apparently seven companies had a visit from German Police. Two booths have been cleaned out completely.
Trade-shows are apparently the best way to do something against copy-cats.
If the copies look like they are from Victorinox it is bad for the consumer. If you buy a Swiss pocket knife you want it to be made in Switzerland with associated quality.
Victorinox showed the Swiss Army knife with flash memory the first time in 2004 at the CeBit.
Victorinox is making pocket knifes since 1884 and has about 900 employes.
