Saitek has some pretty cool gaming peripherals including some rather interesting mice. The supermodel of their mouse lineup is certainly their new Obsidian wireless mouse. This little mouse takes a page from the Logitech G7 book and gives you two battery packs so you can mouse on and on and on.
This alleviates one of the biggest issues I usually have with wireless mice, forgetting to plug the dang things in for recharge. Other than the round shape the other big design change that stands out is the touch-sensitive scroll. No wheel is used to scroll up, down or sideways you simply slide your finger around on the touch sensitive area. The mouse has a total of five buttons and a 1000 dpi minimum resolution. The mouse is available now and sells for about $50 here in the USA. That sensitivity won’t really work for gaming for most PC gamers out there, but this may be a good mouse for general PC work.
