Dell did not reveal officially which Linux distribution they are going to pre-install on their PC and Notebooks.
Boing Boing posted a reference to post on Fabian Rodriguez site saying that Dell went with Ubuntu. The site is down as it got digged (use DuggMirror). Mr. Rodriguez works for the Ubuntu support group. He writes that the embargo is over and that he now can talk about the Dell Ubuntu deal. An official press-release is supposedly on the way with the details.
A report from yesterday on Desktop Linux suggests that Dell is likely to choose Ubuntu. Dell would release a Dell e-series "Essential" Dimension desktop, an XPS desktop, and an e-series Inspiron laptop with Ubuntu Linux.
