Tritton Technology announced today that their SEE2 USB2.0 to VGA adapter now supports higher resolutions of up to 1600 x 1200. The SEE2 adapter is aimed at users looking to extend their Windows desktop.
Many workstation computers and notebook systems lack the ability to add second displays and SEE2 remedies that lack by offering a VGA video adapter that connects via USB. The functionality of the SEE 2 device works with virtually all applications and with the addition of the new, higher resolutions now you can use it for larger displays without sacrificing image quality.
Screen resolutions of up to 1280 x 960 are supported in 32 bit color and resolution of up to 1680 x 1050 16 bit color are supported. Owners of previous SEE2 adapters that are limited to resolutions of 1280 x 1024 will be able to download a free firmware update to allow the use of the new higher screen resolutions. The firmware was not on the Tritton site at the time of this writing. Via Tritton press release.
