Nintendo's President and CEO Satoru Iwata acknowledge that they have a supply issue with the Wii console and promised to fix it soon.
In an investor Q&A published on the Nintendo site, Iwata provided some insights on Nintendo's plans to address the shortage of Wii consoles.
The Wii is still mostly unavailable online. Some bundles are floating around, but if you just want the $250 console you have to try your local mall.
Mr. Iwata also answered the criticism that the new Nintendo console is not cutting edge in hardware terms. I do not know why he would need to defend their solution. Sure, better graphics would not hurt, but we all know what the price tag for High Definition is.
