Canon announces the World's smallest AVCHD DVD camcorder HR10. Sony also introduced the World's smallest AVCHD HD Camcorder just last week. So which one is smaller?
Canon says their World's smallest claim is as of February 2007. The Sony HDR-CX7 is recording to memory stick and is smaller than the HR10, which records to DVDs.
The Canon HR10 HD camcorder features a full HD 1920 x 1080px CMOS image sensor that also captures 3MP still images.
Video is recorded onto 3-inch (8cm) standard DVD discs.
Other features of the HR10 include 10x optical zoom lens, DIGIC DV II HD Image Processor, Instant AF focus system, Super Range Optical Image Stabilization, 2.7 inch screen, HDMI connector and miniSD card slot.
Available in August, the Canon HR10 HD Camcorder will have an estimated selling price of $1,199.
