Canon announces the PowerShot SD850 IS Digital ELPH camera.

The new Canon SD850 IS is an update to the SD800 IS and features 8MP resolution amongst other improvements.

Features of the Canon SD850 IS include 4x Optical Zoom, Optical Image stabilizer, DIGIC II Image Processor with Face Detection, 2.5 inch PureColor lcd display with scratch-resistant, anti-reflection coating, ISO 1600, 30fps VGA video recording and Print/Share button. The measurements of the compact camera are 3.56x2.22x1.04inch, and the weight is 5.82 ounces.
The Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Digital ELPH camera carries an estimated selling price of $399.99. Canon states a shipping of mid-June.
