Korean mobile phone manufacturer Pantech announces the IM-R200 handset.
The Pantech IM-R200 is dual-LCD sliding phone equipped with an OLED touch-sensitive screen.
The innovative OLED touch-screen keyboard reminds me on the much hyped Optimus OLED Keyboard. Pantech designed the virtual touch keypad with capacitive sensor technology. The screen even vibrates when pressed to give the user tactile feedback. The virtual keypad screen has a size of 1.6 inch and 260k colors.
Another feature that I did not hear about to be featured in a phone is the face recognition of the 2MP camera in the IM-R200.
Other features of the Pantech IM-R200 include a 2 mega-pixel camera and a VGA camera, 2 inch QVGA LCD screen, document viewer functionality, media player, PictBridge, 128 polyphonic ringtones and electronic dictionary.
The IM-R200 will be launched in Korea this month under the SKY brand and will be supplied to SK Telecom and KTF, two of the top three wireless operators in Korea.
