Acer Launches New Aspire 5920 Notebook PC

Acer is announcing a new multimedia notebook pc today called the Acer Aspire 5920. The new notebook uses Acer’s Gemstone design and used the latest Intel Centrino technology.
The 5920 has a Centrino has Core 2 Duo processor and is based on the new Centrino platform codenamed Santa Rosa. The notebook also integrates more codename tech (Robson) from Intel called TurboMemory, which uses flash memory to increase system responsiveness.
The system uses a 15.4” Acer CrystalBrite LCD display that has a 8ms response time and helps cut glare in all conditions. NVIDIA provides the video for the system with a GeForce 8600M-GT graphics card with 256MB of VRAM and DirectX 10 support.
On-board sound is via Dolby home theater Virtual Surround sound speakers and the AV experience is improved with an integrated HDMI port, optional HD DVD drive, and an optional TV tuner. The internal HDD is 200GB and up to 4GB of Ram can be added to the system.
Some models also come with the Acer Bluetooth ExpressCard VoIP phone that recharges itself directly from the ExpressCard slot. Video conferencing is possible as well with a built-in Acer CrystalEye camera. Integrates wireless connectivity via 802.11a/b/g/n is standard as well as a gigabit network adapter for the wired folks.
