Helios Labs (formerly known as neodigits) introduces the Helios Z1000 Hub.
The Helios Z1000 allows you to store all of your music, photos and movies in one central location and play back all the files to your Helios media players or uPnP compatible devices. The HDD enclosure is supporting hard-drives up to 300GB in size.
The Z1000 runs on a 220Mhz ARM9 CPU with 64MB RAM. It features a internal SATA X1 interface and external Ethernet and USB ports. Pricing is not disclosed yet. Apparently this is HDD enclosure does not even support AV outputs, which is a bit limiting as you need other uPnP devices to bring the media onto your TV. It is now a matter of the price if the Z1000 is interesting or not. The design looks at least decent.
Helios Labs celebrates their new site re-launch with special discounts. You get 10% off on any purchase until May 20th.
Visit the Helios Labs site for details.
