Microsoft gets awarded a patent for docking station.
The docking station would support portable music player and other handheld devices. You can really patent any kind of obvious thing.
If MS can use the patent against iPod car integrations is questionable.
In related news, Ford Motor in January said it would offer a factory-installed communications and entertainment system based on Microsoft automobile software called Sync.
