Sony Research presents Futuristic Mobile Handset

Asia Times Online has a report about Sony Computer Science Laboratories new Mobile Phone Prototype.
The Sony Invention combines the functions of a mobile phone with an easy interface for remote access to computer files. The handset is smaller than a usual mobile phones and uses IP for conversations. It also has the ability to connect with a PC via a wireless or infrared connection.
The user selects on the handset screen which files to transfer. The handset does not store the actual files. Instead, it stores "address information" about where the files are located in the PC.
