DRAM memory modules and flash storage maker Super Talent announces a ReadyBoost Drive for Windows Vista that connects to the internal USB port on motherboards.

The new Super Talent flash drives plug into a standard 9-pin USB header inside on the motherboard, to function as a dedicated ReadyBoost drive. With 25MB per second read speeds and sub-millisecond access times they are supposed to be a cost effective performance upgrade.
The Exelerator drives are offered with either vertical or horizontal connectors to accommodate space constraints within different enclosures.
Storage options include 1GB, 2GB and 4GB. The 2GB model is expected to retail for approximately $25. Mass production will start in June. Super Talent will show the drives at the Computex 2007.

Super Talent Marketing Director, Joe James, commented, “Exelerator drives offer Vista users a quick, easy, permanent way to boost performance without sacrificing an external USB port. These exceptionally fast drives alleviate the need to always have a ReadyBoost USB drive plugged into the front of your chassis.”
