PNY has announced today that they are introducing their DDR3 module lineup at Computex next month and that the modules will be available in retail channels during Q3 of this year.
PNY DDR3 modules are currently undergoing certification with motherboard makers like Intel, ASUS, and BIOStar. Initial DDR3 offerings will be standard speed, 1066MHz modules and performance-tested modules rated at 1333 MHz.
The top performing DDR3 modules will be available in 1600 MHz varieties. I can’t wait to get my hands on a DDR3 mainboard to start testing the new, faster memory out for myself. I only hope that AMD doesn’t wait, and wait to support DDR3 as they did with DDR2. Via PNY
