Sony announced that it recalls the World's Smallest Digital Camera.
In a statement Sony says that the ultra-expensive Qualia 016 has a defect in the flash.
In that statement Sony also says that between june and september of 2003 a whopping 133 Qualia 016 have been sold world-wide. Full Story at JapanTopday.com.
At a price tag of $3,980 that's somewhat understandable to only sell 133. On the other hand that cannot be a business that is relevant for Sony, its obviously just for marketing and a try to give Sony the High-End edge again that it lost a bit to other manufacturers like Samsung.
The Sony Qualia 016 holds the top spot for the world's smallest digital camera with 69.1×16.8×24mm (without Flash, size nearly doubles when flash is attached).
The Sony Qualia 016 leads the list in our extensive Smallest Digital Camera Guide.
Besides being ultra small the Qualia 016 is full of technology and comes with a suit-case full of accessories. For instance, in order to eliminate the blur caused by tiny movements of the hand, the 016 takes up to 4 pictures in very rapid succession and then combines them into one image.
Dynamism offers the complete Qualia 016 Set for a whopping $3,980.00.
