Smart fabrics maker Eleksen updates its electronics modules to make support of iPod and iPod+Bluetooth devices.
The new sensor technology featuring a unique Common Interface is the next generation of ElekTex sensor which can be embedded into a wide variety of apparel and soft-goods accessories. The sensor is programmable and compatible with a range of electronics including iPods, smart phones and other personal digital devices.
“These electronics modules have been updated with Eleksen’s new Common Interface connector which makes it simpler for our customers to separate their interactive apparel products from their corresponding control electronics. This in turn, ensures that all of our electronics are interchangeable and modular,” said Vassilis Seferidis, Vice President of Product Development for Eleksen. “The time is not far off when consumers will be able to easily control any number of different target devices with a single interactive-enabled garment.”
